Dates Time Event

1st Saturday of every month ongoing (next on Sat July 5th) 10am Station Gardening/village litterpick. ABCA and WI joint venture to keep our verges tidy, improve and maintain the once lovely station gardens, and perhaps win the best kept station competition. Meet with gloves and favourite tools at the station. Safety jackets provided. Further details from Hazel Bayley.

Fri 20 June 10am Walk round Crowton. Nothing too strenuous! Meet at Hare and Hounds pub, or just join us for lunch there at 12.30-1pm

Mon 30 June 6.30-9pm Guided Rose Walk evening at Fryers Rose Nursery , with hybridising house and rose fields. Tickets £7 including light refreshments. See the new WI rose! Sign up on board.

Thurs 24-Sun 27 July RHS Tatton Flower Show. Official launching of "Jam and Jerusalem", the new WI rose (from Fryers Rose Nursery above!)

Tues 29 July 12 noon-4pm CFWI Garden Party games, activities. Guided tours of Masonic Museum and temples Entry £3.50 incl. tea and cake. At Cheshire View, Plough Lane, Christleton. See information table.

Sat 2 August August Outing - "From Cathedral to Cathedral" a blue badge guided tour of two iconic Liverpool sites, and the road linking them. Travel by train from Acton Bridge, meet 10.20am, return 7.05pm. Open to friends and family! Limited spaces, so sign up now! Charge £1.80 per person for guide, plus own travel & lunch costs. Sat 6 September tbc ADVANCE NOTICE!! Acton Bridge Show. Joint venture between WI and ABCA. Start choosing your seeds, or preparing your crafts now!!

Fri 12 September 7.30pm Roberts Bakery Brass Band Concert. Frodsham Community Centre. Tickets £7 including glass of wine. Sign up on board.

Thurs 16 October 1.30pm Autumn Group meeting - talk by Christine Robinson "Chatsworth for Christmas". Details to follow.

Sat 18 October 12-2pm ADVANCE NOTICE! Soup and Sandwich lunch. Annual lunch to raise money for the Acton Bridge WI and Seniors' Christmas party
